One of the first historians to construct a Mohammedan history from the unreliable oral and written sources common in his era, Al-Hakam was from a reputable and well-respected family, renowned in the many branches of Hadith (narrations concerning the prophet Mohammed) and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence). This made Al-Hakam one of the most qualified individuals to compile and record the Muslim tradition in Egypt in his day.

Do yourself and client a favor by getting one!

If you are in the mental health field I highly recommend this guide. I have been asked numerous times where did I get this and can I lend it. This is my go to reference when at the clinic as it covers everything I need to know when doing assessments etc. However, if you feel more comfortable carrying that large DSM around by all means do so but for me this guide slips easily into my pocket for use at any given moment.

As a "new" psych nurse I use the drug guide section the most. It's so helpful to just flip to psych meds and have the generic name as well as the trade name listed (with page #'s). Each medication has a short list of dose range, common side effects, geriatric concerns, and assessment cautions. I use it daily!!!!!

It's a pretty good book for both nursing students and practicing RN's. No matter what specialty you're in you'll come across patients that are psychologically unstable and this book gives you a quick and easy reference to your needs. Everything is laid out in simple form and focuses on the most pertinent topics in psych.

About the Author
Vincent Pauletti was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1971. After attending Catholic schools for eleven years, he moved to Suffolk County on Long Island, NY with his parents and sister. There he finished his high school education, went on to attend a vocational school and is actively pursuing a BA in Anthropology with minors in History and Art History at Stony Brook University. Once his degree requirements are met, he plans to continue his education until he receives his Phd in Anthropology.He is married to his beautiful wife and they have two boys. Currently, he is in the process of completing his second Omega Sector novel and is writing the third book in the Dawning Days fantasy series. The first in the series, Advent of Storms, was published by Variance Publishing is now available in all eBook formats. Poorly written

The first few chapters convinced me that this man should be doing anything but writing a book. With all the grammatical and punctuation errors, as well as spelling errors, the book is much more aggravating than entertaining. One who would be a professional writer should be much better prepared for the challenge of writing a book than this person presents himself. I could not waste the time to finish the whole book. He does not realize, obviously, that just because he can search out information on weapons, gods, automobiles, and myths does not mean that he can effectively incorporate that data into an entrancing novel. Do not waste your time or money.

Absolutely no proof reading in evidence here. Too long and predictable. It was a struggle not to just give up and delete the title.
