Ingenious book on astrophysics

From the start, this book makes clear that matter and energy aren’t always bound by Newton’s theory of gravity. It covers particle forces, quantum theory, and Hubble’s studies on electromagnetic waves in space. Then there’s the Doppler shift, the principal on how wavelength and frequency change depending on the direction of the source. Excellent diagrams are included as well, but some more case studies or examples of these theories and principals would be welcome. It goes into depth, thankfully, on the subject of dark matter and electromagnetic waves.

I would not recommend this book to anyone without a PHD in Mathematics.

I have tried to understand this book with no success except for some partial successes in the first two chapters.
The expressions that "The book does not require students to have extensive knowledge of mathematics, like calculus..."and that "all college students with an interest in science, especially astronomy, without extensive mathematical backgrounds should be able to use and learn from this book." are misleading.

first time ever I have to return a book : the typo's in the formula's make the book unreadable

the kindle version of this book has important typos in the formula's (at least chapter 1) : formulas of positions 244 and 251 of the kindle edition have been wrongly replaced by formula's from chapter 3 or 4. As the formula's are a very important part of this book, these typo's make the book impossible to read
